Why Connecticut Retail Sportsbook Counts Conflict
| Evidence | Published count | What it represents | Current use | Required boundary |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current CT Lottery location page | 12 named locations | The current public CLC/Fanatics retail roster. | Controlling current roster | Check the live roster before relying on the count or traveling. |
| 2025 CT Lottery advertising RFP | 12 locations | Procurement context and the Fanatics transition. | Independent CLC cross-check for the 12-location total. | The RFP does not replace the live location roster. |
| January 2026 CT Lottery RFP addendum | 12: 9 Sportech + 3 CLC | The documented operating and marketing split. | Operating-structure evidence. | Operating responsibility is not one user's account or ticket responsibility. |
| Current CT Lottery FAQ | 10 locations | A lagging FAQ statement that conflicts with the current roster. | Do not use as the controlling count | Its support and partner information may still be useful separately. |
| January 2025 DCP retail snapshot | 11 CLC-affiliated locations | A dated market snapshot before later location changes. | Historical change evidence | Do not present it as the July 2026 total. |

Verify a Connecticut Sportsbook in 7 Steps
- 1Check the current DCP sportsbook shortlistStart with DraftKings, FanDuel or Fanatics. Do not begin with a national brand list or app-store availability.
- 2Identify the Connecticut master relationshipMap the brand to Foxwoods/Mashantucket Pequot, Mohegan Sun/Mohegan or Connecticut Lottery.
- 3Read current Connecticut termsIdentify the exact legal entity that forms the consumer account contract.
- 4Verify the Online Gaming Operator credentialSearch the legal business name in eLicense, select the relevant credential and confirm its current status.
- 5Verify the current retail rosterUse the current property page or CT Lottery roster, not a cached map, old launch release or commercial directory.
- 6Check the retail holder and exact addressWhere the public record allows, verify the current Sports Wagering Retailer holder. Save the venue label, address and checked date.
- 7Save the account or receipt evidenceFor an issue, preserve the legal operator, bet ID or original receipt, transaction, house rule and support response. Contact the operator or venue first, then DCP if unresolved.
Save this minimum authorization record
- consumer sportsbook brand;
- Connecticut master relationship;
- legal account operator;
- credential type and number;
- credential status;
- eLicense checked date;

- source URL and source class;
- account ID, bet ID or original receipt where relevant;
- support ticket or venue response;
- what the authorization evidence does not prove.
What Is Not on Connecticut's Current Authorized Sportsbook List?
| Route or claim | Current evidence status | Correct conclusion | Required future check |
|---|---|---|---|
| PlaySugarHouse / Rush Street Interactive | Historical CLC partner | CLC transitioned sports-betting operations to FBG Enterprises Connecticut LLC / Fanatics in December 2023. | Use PlaySugarHouse only for historical account-support or transition context. |
| BetMGM, Caesars, bet365, BetRivers or another national sportsbook | Not on the current DCP sportsbook shortlist | National operation, app availability or marketing does not create Connecticut sportsbook authorization. | Recheck DCP and eLicense before any future status statement. |
| Fantasy contests | Separate product and credential class | A fantasy contest is not one of the three Connecticut sportsbook platforms. | Use current fantasy-provider and license evidence. |
| Sports-event contracts or prediction-market products | Not part of the licensed sportsbook list | DCP has taken enforcement action against specified unlicensed sports-event-contract offerings. | Recheck current DCP enforcement and law-tracker evidence; do not assume a permanent universal rule. |
| Offshore, cloned, sweepstakes or unverified pick'em route | No Connecticut sportsbook authorization without DCP/eLicense evidence | Branding, Connecticut access or a sports interface does not prove authorization. | Verify the exact entity and credential before sending money or identity information. |
Four Connecticut Sportsbook Claims Resolved
"PlaySugarHouse still appears in search, so it is a current Connecticut sportsbook"
Historical evidence: Rush Street Interactive and PlaySugarHouse operated through the Connecticut Lottery relationship beginning in 2021.
Current evidence: CLC transitioned the business to FBG Enterprises Connecticut LLC / Fanatics in December 2023.
Correct conclusion: PlaySugarHouse is historical, while Fanatics is the current consumer sportsbook in the CLC ecosystem.
"Connecticut Lottery has 10, 11 or 12 retail sportsbooks - so the current total is unknowable"
Source check: the current location page names 12 locations, while a current FAQ says 10 and a January 2025 DCP release says 11.
Current procurement check: the 2025 RFP and January 2026 addendum both support 12.
Correct conclusion: use 12 for the current CLC/Fanatics roster and 14 after adding Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, with a visible checked date.
"Sports Haven in New Haven and 24 Burnell Boulevard in Norwalk are still current sportsbook locations"
Current roster check: CT Lottery now lists MyWinners East Haven and Winners Norwalk.
Current venue check: MyWinners identifies 37 Frontage Road in East Haven and 9 Burnell Boulevard in Norwalk.
Correct conclusion: use the current East Haven and 9 Burnell records, not the stale New Haven or 24 Burnell references.
"The Connecticut Lottery partnership means CT Lottery controls my Fanatics account and withdrawal"
Master-relationship check: CLC is the Connecticut master relationship and retail-network owner.
Account-contract check: current Fanatics terms form the consumer contract with FBG Enterprises Connecticut LLC.
Correct conclusion: contact Fanatics first for the online account, KYC, payment or withdrawal record; use DCP if the operator process does not resolve the issue.

What Sportsbook Authorization Does Not Prove
- Three authorized sportsbook ecosystems
- Do not establish a best app, best odds, best promotion or fastest withdrawal.
- An active Online Gaming Operator credential
- Does not guarantee account approval, KYC completion, deposit acceptance or withdrawal timing.
- A master wagering relationship
- Does not make the tribe, property or Lottery the legal account operator for every user issue.
- A consumer sportsbook brand
- Does not prove the exact legal entity, active credential or retail venue.
- A current retail roster
- Does not guarantee that every venue is open at one hour or that the count will remain unchanged.
- A retail venue address
- Does not prove one market, cashier service, redemption rule or operating schedule.
- A displayed sportsbook market
- Does not prove that a wager was submitted or accepted.
- An accepted account or retail wager
- Does not guarantee a win, prevent a rules-based settlement or establish another operator's treatment.
- DCP regulation or enforcement
- Does not guarantee a particular complaint, payment, withdrawal or user outcome.
- This current register
- Does not remain permanent when an operator, credential, venue, address or state rule changes.
Stop Signals While Comparing Sportsbooks or Locations
- You are opening another authorized account immediately after losses.A second legal platform does not reset probability or recover previous losses.
- A nearby retail location is becoming a reason to keep betting.Convenience and property atmosphere do not improve expected results.
- A promotion is replacing the original authorization check.Read the legal entity, credential and complete terms before considering any offer.
- You are moving from online to retail - or retail to online - to avoid a limit.Changing channel is not a substitute for a timeout or self-exclusion.
- A disputed account or retail ticket is triggering another wager.Stop, save the account or receipt record and resolve the first issue before betting again.
- Debt, secrecy, stress, urgency or loss chasing appears.Use limits or self-exclusion and contact Connecticut or national support.
