MASSACHUSETTS PROVIDER VERIFICATION
Massachusetts Authorized Gambling Providers and License Lookup
Start with the public name, then match the legal entity, exact credential, category, relationship and dated official record. One valid layer never substitutes for the rest of the authorization chain.
CURRENT ANSWER
Which Massachusetts record authorizes this provider?
Massachusetts has no single universal provider license. MGC’s commercial roster covers Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park Casino; First Light uses a separate tribal, federal and compact chain. Current sports entries use Chapter 23N Category 1 or 3 licenses, fantasy contests use AGO rules plus an MGC-published roster, and racing approvals are organization-specific. Match the public name to the legal entity, exact credential, status and dated official record. A vendor license, app access or national brand is not consumer authorization. This is general information, not legal advice.
CURRENT RECORDS
Current names in the controlling records
Massachusetts keeps separate records for commercial and tribal gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and racing. A provider listed in one category is not automatically authorized in another.
This directory stops at cross-product count and credential class. Public brand, legal licensee, tether relationship, current/former status and the exact dated operating record belong to Authorized Massachusetts sportsbooks.
Commercial and tribal gaming records
| Public name | Legal entity or operating authority | Current credential / relationship | Current record conclusion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Encore Boston Harbor | Wynn MA, LLC d/b/a Encore Boston Harbor | MGC Chapter 23K Category 1 commercial gaming licensee | Current MGC commercial facility; separate Chapter 23N Category 1 sports credential appears in the sports table. |
| MGM Springfield | Blue Tarp reDevelopment, LLC d/b/a MGM Springfield | MGC Chapter 23K Category 1 commercial gaming licensee | Current MGC commercial facility; separate Chapter 23N Category 1 sports credential appears in the sports table. |
| Plainridge Park Casino | Plainville Gaming and Redevelopment, LLC d/b/a Plainridge Park Casino | MGC Chapter 23K Category 2 slots-parlor gaming licensee | Current MGC commercial facility; Category 2 here is not its sports category. |
First Light A Native Casino | Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe / MWT Gaming Authority, with the Mashpee Wampanoag Gaming Commission tribal-regulator layer | Separate tribal/federal/compact chain; not an MGC Chapter 23K commercial-license row | Current first-party record says 200+ games are operating; the full Class III resort remains future-facing. |
Fantasy operator roster
MGC’s current page lists these 23 fantasy operators. The substantive consumer-rule layer is AGO 940 CMR 34. Roster inclusion is not an MGC sports or casino license, formal MGC registration class, endorsement, safety finding or proof that every contest format qualifies.

Racing and account-wagering record
| Racing organization / public name | 2026 approval record | Named account-wagering provider record | Current status limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plainville Gaming and Redevelopment, LLC d/b/a Plainridge Park Casino | Approved 2026 live harness meeting and simulcast activity. | Penn ADW, LLC d/b/a Hollywood Races using eBet Technologies; NYRABets additionally approved for Standardbred/harness wagering through December 31, 2026. | One current live harness track is supported. Provider approvals remain organization-, product- and date-specific. |
| Sterling Suffolk Racecourse, LLC d/b/a Suffolk Downs | Approved 2026 simulcast import signals; current report says simulcasting five days a week. | XpressBet LLC and affiliate 1/ST Bet; TVG; Twin Spires; FanDuel Racing; NYRA Bets; BetMGM; Caesars Racebook; DK Horse; AmWest Entertainment and its AmWager platform. | Current Suffolk simulcasting is supported. The provider names remain dated, organization-specific approvals; no live thoroughbred racing or day-by-day platform promise. |
| Massasoit Greyhound Association d/b/a Raynham Park; Taunton Dog Track | December 2025 minutes approved 2026 simulcast import signals for the named organizations. | Dial2Bet and US Off-Track, LLC were approved for the named organizations for 2026. | Later official evidence says Raynham began temporary closure of simulcasting and ADW on December 27, 2025. Preserve the approval as dated history; do not label the chain currently operating. |
| Wonderland Park / Sterling Suffolk record | Remains licensed under the cited current report. | No current provider list is asserted here. | Official report says no longer simulcasting. A license record alone is not current consumer operation. |
An account-wagering provider is approved within the named racing organization’s record. These names are not standalone Massachusetts sportsbook licensees, universal ADW licensees or guaranteed currently available apps.

CLAIM CHECKS
One Massachusetts provider claim resolved

First Light uses a separate authority chain
“First Light is missing from MGC Licensees, so it is either unlicensed or a fourth MGC commercial casino.”
Neither conclusion follows. First Light is separately evidenced by MGC’s tribal/compact record, Mashpee Wampanoag gaming records and the current facility record. It is not an ordinary Chapter 23K commercial-license row. The current first-party evidence supports an operating A Native Casino with 200+ games; the full Class III resort remains future-facing.

PROOF LIMITS
What one record still does not prove
One credential is not the whole chain
A property gaming license, sports category, fantasy roster entry, racing-provider approval or vendor credential proves only its own product, entity, role, relationship, year and status.
A public name is not the legal entity
A logo, app listing, sponsorship, seal image or familiar national brand must still match the exact Massachusetts legal entity and controlling current record.
Current authorization is not permanent operation
A dated roster or approval does not guarantee future renewal, day-by-day platform access, retail hours, every offered wager or recovery after a closure.
Authorization is not a recommendation
A current record does not prove best value, payout speed, account acceptance, financial safety, suitability, dispute outcome or approval by The Playbook USA.
One product lane does not authorize another
A sportsbook, fantasy, racing, Lottery, tribal, vendor or out-of-state record does not create a Massachusetts real-money online-casino license or classify a sweepstakes, prediction or offshore product.
Use the record for verification, then move to the exact guide for product operation, law, property detail or change history. This page provides source-led general information, not legal advice or a safety guarantee.
